As a Christian the butterfly is a symbol of new life.
On a personal level it is a symbol of freedom.
Through this exhibition I seek to
challenge ingrained attitudes . . .
to those different to ourselves.
We fear what we do not know!

Currently the rise of Isis leads many
to be fearful of all Muslims.
Just as all Muslims are not terrorists,
I reflect on the horrors of the
Christian Crudaces.
Not all church goes are
believes in Christ.
Embracing difference and opening dialogue
Can lead to greater understanding and freedom.

But we don't live happily ever after.
We live in a society driven by social norms,
fear, misconceptions, judgements, false perceptions,
Bullying is no longer confined to the school yard.
It is rampant in all sections of society.

others enforce on us, accepting these
as truths. Not all of us a strong enough to survive.
